Introducing Ama Fru, a native from Bamenda in the North West Province of Cameroon whose involvement in music draws a trail through an early love of the Conga, progressing to singing with the cadets in church, through lead vocal roles in choral groups throughout college and High school to reaching the Cameroon national finals of NESCAFE African Revelations in 2005.

London based Ama has had the chance to perform alongside artists such as Koppo, Krotal, Narcisse Prize and Nguea Laroute, to name a few and is presently managed by Ace Music Entertainment Ltd an independent record venture based in London.

‘Ahead Ahead’, the long-awaited Single and major studio collaboration between Ama Fru, and Myllo a London based rapper also from Bamenda.

‘Ahead Ahead’ produced by Perica in collaboration with Alobeatz, is a vibrant celebration rooted in the vitality and strength of the struggle. The song champions hard work and the ability to stay not only positive through struggles, but to laugh at them, to throw off worries and embrace the rhythm and DANCE! A feel good piece of Cameroonian inspired ‘MakoBeat’, ‘Ahead Ahead’ borrows musical traits from Makossa, AfroBeat and UK House Music introducing something new to the ears.

At its core, ‘Ahead Ahead’ features a space-y synth alongside meaty basslines punctuated by sugary acoustic guitar additions and playful lyrics which deliver a profound message in true Cameroonian style. Ama brings his boy-next-door vocals to bear with featuring rapper Myllo lending gritty, catchy rap bars.
