Helloooo DC readers! Today is Fridayyyy and as usual some music to kick start that glorious weekend. Well I hope your weather is better than the London one ;-)
So today we are not bringing you our usual "Friday Dance Tchuune" but instead we are going to present you with a new released track ...yeahhh!
If y'all haven't heard of Kilian yet, well you better get to know him! He has been featured here on DC before so no excuses!
Kilian, is a London based unsigned rap artist with a rather personal and introspective music approach, born in Bamenda in the North West province and raised in Douala.
Although he can be as cocky as hell and brags endlessly in his tracks, but then when you give it a second listen you'll hear the subtext, the awareness of self and the self character studies he frequently embarks on.
His current album The Farmer’s Backyard, available for free download now, presents a new Kilian who is rather troubled, doubtful and untrusting of anyone. The beats are dark and the lyrics allude to all the above starting off with a dark tone but then closing off on a more mellow and brighter note; the highlight which has to be on the “Hello Momma” track which actually features his mum.
His life influences explain why his music hits the marrows.
Without further ado, check out the new track "Living for the Fame" below

A CAMEROONIAN IN THE QUEBEC GOVERNMENT CABINET
Good morning dear readers and welcome to another news flash post here on DC. Today we will like to report the appointment of a Cameroonian brother in a ministerial post in Quebec, Canada.
Who is he? What is he made of?
Well, Maka Kotto is not new to the political scene in Quebec. He was a provincial level politician and a former member of the Canadian House of Commons and currently married to Caroline St-Hilaire, the mayor of Longueuil; a city in the province of Quebec.
Before steering into politics, Maka was an author, comedian, actor and stage director appearing in the 1989 movie "Comment faire l'amour avec un nègre sans se fatiguer" based on the novel by Dany Laferrière. He also starred in another film entitled "Lumumba" in 2000.
Maka was born in Douala and graduated from high school at Lycée Henri-Martin in Saint-Quentin, France. He studied law, politics, dramatic art and cinema in Nanterre, Paris.
Newly sworn in yesterday as Quebec's first female premier, Pauline Marois who makes no intention of hiding the fact that her government is aiming at a separate Quebec from Canada reshuffled her cabinet and appointed 23 ministers including Maka as Minister of Culture and Communications.
Marois says her priority will be integrity, including managing Quebecer's money with the utmost rigour.
We are ecstatic to see our brother up in there in a foreign land!!
Goodluck in your job Mr Maka Kotto!!
