Last weekend during the live televised Miss Cameroon 2015 finals, our modern day princess aka Brenda 'Bree' Biya turned up to the event in a green jewel encrusted kaftan dress once worn in public by her mother Chantal Biya who was papped leaving the church after the vespers service by Pope Benedict XVI in Yaoundé on March 18, 2009.
Fast forward 6 years and a side by side caption of both of them in the dress quickly circulates online becoming the talk of most profiles and pages yesterday. While Mama Chantou paired her dress with green heels and a tiny clutch purse, our modern day princess opted for black heels as well as her mother's green velvet Chanel bag with her hair loosely curled to complete her look.
We certainly love our first daughter very much here on DC and we also love the fact that she is not at all scared to face her critics and voice her opinion. Here below is what she had to say to all those who deemed her love for her momma as "recyclage"...
"I was very honoured to wear my dearly beloved mother's dress who is also my life model. They also forgot to mention that I was carrying her bag but I preferred to re-use all that she has bought. Rare are the girls who would not wish to be like their mothers. Thank you mother for all you do for me I love you infinitely. From a Queen to a Princess."
Say what we want, it is great that at least her first instinct is to use what is already available to her than to go out and spend some more and it shows she has a good head on her shoulders. Go Brenda Go!!!
