Bikutsi maestro Lady Ponce shared these pics a few minutes ago on her page and we could not help but gasp at how youthful and fresh she is becoming even as she grows older.
Gone are her Lady Gaga-esque days which has now been borrowed by Mani Bella and in its place we see a simple and well kept Lady Ponce. Will this look last? What do you think dear DC readers?
Blue Rain Entertainment; a film production company owned by actress and model Syndy Emade has released the official trailer to long awaited movie "Rose On A Grave." The film which reveals a wide variety of Cameroonian actors and actresses such as Jeffery Epule, Solange Ojong, Syndy Emade herself as well as bikutsi diva Lady Ponce who makes an acting appearance. The premier of the film is scheduled for November 21st at Saint John's Plaza in Douala and November 28th at Fini Hotel in Limbe. Take a peek below...
Lady Ponce is caught in action, totally immersed in her music as she records in Buea, in the studios of No Hitz No Recordzwhich also counts XMaleya, Rythmz and Ciana as clients.
The studio has been garnering rave reviews and subsequently building a reputation on the quality of their production.
The queen of bikutsi seems to be totally entranced and in her zone infront of the mic.

The very busy Lady Ponce seems to be having a super time of her music life right now. Amongst all the other bikutsi stars, the Lady has really shown why she merits to be called such. In just a space of a few years, Lady Ponce has transformed her image - her size is looking trimmed, gone are the long long extensions (like a mad mami wata lol!!) and very high outrageous often slutty heels (remember this post here?). Her overall approach has given her that added quality boost, widening her fanbase and increasing her popularity. In a milieu such as the bikutsi where trash and sex sells, it certainly is refreshing to see Lady Ponce all cleaned up and dolled up like the beautiful persona that she is. Okay so Coco Argentee you are next in line!
It was at the Hilton Hotel in Yaounde 2 days ago, in front of the Minister of Communication Mr Issa Tchiroma that Lady Ponce dressed by Cameroon based Senegalese designer Ali Dio officially revealed to the media and guests her new album which is entitled "Bain De Sons."

Previously on this same day the Lady dropped two bombshells on her fans in the space of about 10 mins! Although images from her video shoot had been in circulation for some time, we were presented with the first video "O Bale Ma" which was rather melancholic, emotional, soft, acoustic filled, raw and just different from her usual high tempo with a reference to some of the Cameroon music artists gone and alive. Just as we were getting round to enjoying the video, "Bouge On Voit" was released and this time it was to her usual tune, a dancey and upbeat song but with one thing different - the Lady did not bouge her body even an inch as she is used to for us to see! Oh well, grown and demure Lady P is here!!

If these images are anything to go by then the Lady has surely scrubbed up well for her forthcoming video which is said to be entitled Bain De Son which happens also to be the title of her next album.
Lady Ponce is looking very svelte evidence that she has shed some pounds and trimmed her figure. Her makeup is also looking very well made - smokey eyes with lip gloss - a great difference from her La La La video which we thought her makeup needed to be upgraded. Read the post here.
Lady Ponce is also showing some maturity and grace in this video evidenced by her styling on the images. We hope the video will be much better than La La La.
The Ponce has been sharing images of boards which bear the title of the single and she also shared a few images of her makeup session which looks okayish and could have been done better especially as it is for a video. But we have to understand that these older artists tend to work with their circle of friends rather than look for a professional who will do the job properly.
