CAMEROON MUSIC ARTIST ZINNIA SIGNS RECORD DEAL WITH MC GALAXY'S MCG ENTERTAINMENT!

Mbanga wey e get for ripe, must ripe not so? Well that is exactly what is happening slowly in the Cameroon music milieu. We have begun to witness major record deal signings, brand endorsements, paid concert participations, digital distribution partnerships with major labels...and we are not even fully grown yet!

Tuesday night, South Africa based former Mutzig winner and one time Brightphase and BAAM member Zinnia Bemo known under her stage name of Zinnia released images and a short message on Instagram confirming her partnership with a record label in Nigeria. She had hinted to us last week about her news which she was about to release and we had a few minutes catch up...read it below.

DC: How were you scouted or approached?
Zinnia: I met with MC Galaxy by accident in a studio in Nigeria. I was there doing my shoot and so was he recording some tracks. While he was recording, I was busy humming to his beat and he asked me to help him out with the backing tracks. I gladly did and also carried on with my shoot and then I left. Two months later, I received a call from him wanting to know if I was in Nigeria to help him out again. As I was available, I went and ended up doing 3 songs for his debut album.

DC: How did you feel during the negotiations?
Zinnia: I was called up by his management Big Jamz World and we had a meeting on the phone which went pretty well. When they sent me the contract, I could not believe it!

DC: When you signed on the dotted lines, what were you feeling?
Zinnia: I was overwhelmed...I felt amazing because I knew I had worked hard for this opportunity.

DC: So what does this mean for you as an artist?
Zinnia: This means work. This means dedication and determination. This means no turning back. This means prove a point. This means make your nation proud.

DC: What next?
Zinnia: Working on my first official single under the label and my introductory performance with my label mate Muno this weekend in Nigeria at the MC Galaxy album launch in Uyo where I will also share the stage with Cynthia Morgan, Skales, Praiz etc and then another launch in Lagos.

Zinnia becomes the first official female and only foreigner on the label owned by the "Sekem" crooner MC Galaxy. Let's stay tuned for more!

DYNASTIE LE TIGRE AND THE KING KONG STANLEY ENOW BEHIND THE SCENES...

Another collabo is around the corner and this time we can safely say the tiger and the king kong have kept aside their differences and found a common ground in the personification of music artists Dynastie also known as 'Le Tigre' and the Bayangi boy Stanley Enow recently crowned the 'King Kong.

The two have joined forces musically on a song which is apparently entitled 'Prend Soin d'Elle' from his album entitled La Loi De La Nature with a video captured by Buea based video producer Mr. Adrenaline.

Here are some behind the scene shots...

It was also revealed yesterday that there is a book about to be released based on Stanley Enow's journey from childhood to super stardom written by Félix Tatla Mbetbo. An official launch is planned for the coming month, in the meantime, check out the book cover below.

SOME BEHIND THE SCENES ON LADY PONCE'S BAIN DE SON VIDEO...

If these images are anything to go by then the Lady has surely scrubbed up well for her forthcoming video which is said to be entitled Bain De Son which happens also to be the title of her next album.

Lady Ponce is looking very svelte evidence that she has shed some pounds and trimmed her figure. Her makeup is also looking very well made - smokey eyes with lip gloss - a great difference from her La La La video which we thought her makeup needed to be upgraded. Read the post here.

Lady Ponce is also showing some maturity and grace in this video evidenced by her styling on the images. We hope the video will be much better than La La La.

SONY MUSIC FRANCE JOINS FORCES DIGITALLY WITH CAMEROON'S HOPE MUSIC GROUP RECORD LABEL

It was with great enthusiasm that Hope Music Group's CEO and music producer PhilJohn aka Philippe Nkouaya met with The Orchard representative Ben Olfield in Paris last week to seal a deal which will see them partner with Sony Music France for their digital distribution.

Therefore with great success, the music label's artists which includes Michael Kiessou, Kayla Lys, Yvich, Tyana will see their future projects handled by Sony Music.

It should also be noted that Stanley Enow also joined forces with Sony Music Africa via South African based Rockstar 4000 house which also counts Fally Ipupa as one of its proteges.

This great partnerships only shows the great development that has taken place within the Cameroon music scene in just over 2 years. Let the great times roll on!!

We checked our calendar to verify that today was not indeed February 14th although love was certainly in the air for Sampdoria and ex Cameroon national player Samuel Eto'o who shared the below images of his wife Georgette Eto'o on his instagram and Facebook page with the caption "Merci Princesse!".

Le ndolo ohhhh!! Is Samuel thanking her for just being a great partner or is it her birthday today and he is spoiling her with love?! Whatever the reason, Georgette seems to be in a happy place flashing us her great smile while clutching her beautiful bright Chanel bag.

Ah, les choses de amoureux whatever they are up to, bon voyage in your private jet hiihii!!
