SHIRI ACHU ART EXHIBITION: "35 IN PRINT: LONDON" THE CLOSING PARTY

The opening of 35InPrint:London on Saturday 19th April oozed class with the guests who came in their numbers all captivated by Shiri Achu’s art. There were beautiful 35InPrint cupcakes, German based artist Amaka performed a live set and we had two floors of Shiri Achu Art prints on exhibit - 35 In total all at very affordable prices! Shiri Achu Art is art inspired by Africa, colour, movement, dance! And oh boy did they love it!!
The week long exhibition at The Strand gallery saw The Mayor and Mayoress of Harrow pop by to visit the exhibition receiving a special walk through by Shiri herself. They were full of praises and encouragement; leaving a wonderful message on the visitor's book.

The closing party on Friday the 25th was as the opening, a success. More paintings bought and taken off the wall instantly, muna Sawa Muntu Valdo, the London based Cameroon Jazz guitarist, harmonica player and singer was there to lend his support and perform on the night delighting the visitors with his soulful new songs. Assorted snacks and wine were served...

Raffle prize winners Enitan Sawyerr and Anozie Anyanwu  were both extremely delighted to have won signed limited edition ‘ShiriAchuArt’ prints.

Numerica is fast becoming one of the most recognised faces in the Cameroon music scene. His music style is distinct but centred around Camer Afropop, his image and style is carefully guarded enabling him to set himself apart from the rest.

On the 19th of June after a promo stint where fans around the world posted images anticipating the official release, Numerica and his team released the video to which we give our approval. The guy is definitely a force to reckon with! Watch the video below...enjoy!

STANLEY ENOW COLLABORATES WITH BBC 1XTRA...

The Indomitable Lions sure had a short spell at the World Cup in Brazil following a record breaking 7th games lost in a row in a World Cup since the 1950s but let's not fret, there is a 24th Lion who is still working hard to push the Cameroon image out there.

When the BBC called, Stanley Enow answered and here below is the result - a freestyle collabo project with each of the 32 member countries in celebration of the 2014 World Cup.

STARBOY STANLEY ENOW SWOOPS BIG AT THE MAMAS!

There is no stopping starboy Stanley Enow right now so if we cannot beat him, we might as well join him right! Okay, right so get this he has become the first Cameroon based artist with a Twitter verified account...check image below.

Following his MTVBase Africa Music Awards (MAMA) nomination about 6 weeks ago; a first for an artist from Cameroon for that matter - the excitement within the camp shot up 200%. During this period a gruelling daily voting campaign was put in place which received a massive support response from the Cameroon online public. The #VoteStanleyEnow hashtag was prominent online with daily photos of support from fans and supporters.

During this period also, Stanley Enow made his first trip to Europe where he wowed at various venues in Paris, France and in Frankfurt, Germany as well as featured on various influential medias such as Africa24 news, Télésud and BBC Afrique.

Yesterday, following the MAMA's star studded jam packed event in Durban, South Africa and before millions who were watching across Africa, Stanley Enow was crowned Best New Act 2014 beating well known names Phyno and Burna Boy of Nigeria to the acclaimed title. Social media was left buzzing last night following the win.

Stanley Enow has made breaking rules and creating history a habit. Here below is the all time magic unforgettable moment...

CAMEROON AT ROLAND GARROS!


Cameroon has its own "Williams" in the making and it is 17 year old Canadian Camer tennis player Françoise Abanda who is defining her entrance into the elite tennis scene in style. She was today victorious over her counterpart; 17 year old French player Victoria Muntean at the 2nd round in Roland Garros beating her 6-2 6-0.

She is ranked 262 on the singles chart. Wayyyy to gooo Françoise!!
