DULCE FAB > CHANTAL BIYA, MANI BELLA & LADY PONCE AT CERAC

It was a star studded affair at the 22nd General Assembly of CERAC - The Circle of Friends of Cameroon; an initiative of Cameroon's First Lady Mrs Chantal Biya created to take an active part in the development of Cameroon by delivering much needed assistance to the most vulnerable groups.

CERAC which is recognised as a public interest association comprises a diplomatic component which brings together the wives of Ambassadors and High Commissioners accredited to Cameroon and a national component comprising of government and officials from public and semi prublic companies, wives of members of government, elected officials etc.

Since its inception in 1995, CERAC has been working throughout the country, paying visits to patients, building schools to ensure the education of young Cameroonians, making donations to various hospitals and schools.

At the gathering a few days ago, the First Lady popularly known as Mama Chantou got the Pala Pala infection as she was surrounded by celebrities such as the eccentric Mani Bella, muna sawa Dora Decca and the queen of bikutsi Lady Ponce. Some images below from Facebook.

The entertainment industry in Cameroon seems to be taking a step up! Bravo!!

STANLEY ENOW SPOTTED ON A COMMERCIAL SET & WITH MI ABAGA

The year is almost coming to an end with only 14 days left before the new spanking year chimes in. For our raving rap starboy Stanley Enow, aka "Man No Rest", the days continue to be a tough working day which sees him flying out to carry out his many commitments.

A few days ago via his Facebook page, he was seen on board a flight with his brother Martin Enow flying to a secret location which he hinted in his caption to be our neighbours Ghana where we find out he is there to film a commercial spot for an online product which is set to hit Cameroon and Senegal soon.

On set and as usual, starboy Stanley Enow looks well groomed and very relaxed doing what he knows best in front of the cameras. The star is also seen posing with Nigeria's best rapper MI Abaga and we wonder whether something is also cooking behind the scenes!!

Love him or hate him, he continues to work and fly our flag very high with great pride and commitment. Check out the pics below...

And there you have it, we can't wait to see the advert on our screens!!

We have been following and updating you on the progress of the SIPEC networking events in Cameroon (if you have missed them go here and here) and we are delighted to bring you the 3rd edition taking place in a few days in Douala.

SIPEC, an acronym for Sherai’s Initiative for Promoting Entrepreneurs in Cameroon seeks to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship in Cameroon through identifying entrepreneurs and small businesses and creating a platform for them to market their services and products.

The 3rd edition will bring together professionals from all industry sectors in Cameroon. The goal is to create an environment where everyone present is relevant to each other. Sales people need to close deals, HR personnels need to hire the right staff, procurement experts need to recruit the best contractors and buy the best resources for their businesses at reasonable prices, managing directors need to form great partnerships etc. Each person is relevant to each other. SIPEC events creates a pool of relevant business professionals.

On Thursday December 18, about 200 business professionsals will be gathered at Hotel Prince de Galles from 6pm with one thing in mind, interaction. The theme for this edition is “The power of Timing”. demonstrating the importance of making decisions at the right time to each of the attending guests.

Being successful is about seizing an opportunity when the time is right. As entrepreneurs, we need to know when to seek capital finance, when to form partnerships, when to expand, when to launch a new product etc. SIPEC's objective during this edition is to emphasise the power of using time to our advantage and making timely decisions. Guest speaker on the night will be Roland Kwemain.

DULCE FAB AUDIO > RUN > ZINNIA

She go run run run run…yes she go run sotey straight into our ear holes!

“I don’t want people to say I’m back because I did not go anywhere you know, I’ve been around, still in the entertainment business learning other aspects of it and still trying to make music. I’d rather say, I’m here and I’m ready to put myself and my music out there for Africa to hear” Says the Cameroonian female artist who is no stranger to the limelight as she is a very popular television personality on Africa Magic’s “Good Morning Africa” as well as a regular presenter on Africa’s latest music and entertainment TV channel, PRTV.

ZINNIA was the National Song Competition (Mutzig Star, Cameroon) winner a few years ago and Nescafe African Revelation winner with the group BAAM working with famed music producer Wayne Beckford who produced their hit single ‘Stand Up’

With her winnings and a dream to chase, ZINNIA took a risk and moved to Johannesburg, South Africa where she followed her other passion for entertainment working in television.

She is now stepping into the music game with her debut single RUN; a song that has a distinguished African sound, with undertones of highlife, Afro Jazz and a touch of Cameroon’s Makossa. Enjoy it below!!

DULCE COLLABO IN THE MAKING > NUMERICA & SKALES

When artists get the opportunity to mix, it is certain that something is bound to come out of the meeting by way of a collaboration. This seems true for Kossa Moi Ça singer Numerica who recently posted on his Facebook page about a collaboration in the making with young Nigerian based ex EME singer Skales who we also found out has a Cameroonian father.

We cannot wait to hear the end product and are delighted for him and for the way the Cameroonian music scene is expanding petit a petit. In the meantime though, we can also enjoy below the recent release which sees Numerica collaborate with Bana C4. Numerica also dropped a few images from the video shoot and it already looks sizzling...Cameroon oyeehhhh!!!

MTN I-FEST 2014 SHOW IN PICTURES...

Douala was set alive yesterday by the buzz of the stars both local and international who were in town participating at the 3rd dose of MTN's iFest.

The crowd rumoured to be 20.000 plus had an early Christmas present with a treat which included on the list Petit Pays, Stanley Enow, Numerica, Mathematik de Petit Pays, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Don Jazzy...the MTN Make The Music trio, DJ Louda, Nigeria's DJ Neptune were on hand spinning the decks to top sounds across the globe while One Love gave the crowd something to chuckle and laugh about during the comedy pause.

The event itself seemed well organised this year however it did not completely go without its own hiccups on the livestream which included volume control issues, power cuts and a legal dispute with Nigeria's Iroko which saw the livestream completely stopped with performances from Tiwa Savage and Stanley Enow missed.

Anyway, enough of the talk here below are the first pictures courtesy of MTN Cameroon's Twitter account.

So what do you think?
