He took part in RuPaul's Drag Race this year in which he won and was crowned as the Queen as well being given the title of America's Next Drag Superstar.
Bebe Zahara's exotic dignity and sophistication definitely set him apart from the other contestants. From his pictures and poses, you cannot deny that he exudes elegance, sophistication, creativity and even passion!
Bebe Zahara has showed that Drag can be viewed as an art form, one which needs creativity and even originality.
Bebe Zahara Benet has opened up the opportunity for a conversation that was taboo to begin with within African communities. The endless questions and denials and many of those questions we want to ask Bebe directly.

Na Americawonder be dis one oh! I tell you!
Hey Nathalie, Bebe Zahara is a drag artist, that is, he is a man who dresses up as a woman. I don't think this is an everyday reality but when he has his shows....
I will find this out when I interview him.
Thanks for the comment.
Wow only on Dulce Camer will I hear new terminology like "drag artist'! What on earth is a "drag artist"? A guy wakes up one day and starts dressing like a woman, despicable, but....oh no! he's a "drag artist"! Wow!
@ the anonymous comment below, I am sure you know about the proverb, judge not so ye be not judged....i am sure there are some things you may do which others may find despicable, unless you are JESUS CHRIST himself, please do not judge what others are doing. I also doubt he goes out everyday dressed up as a woman.
Nevertheless, all said and done, you are entitled to your opinion.
Hello Dulce,
I am sure you also know about the hypocrisy surrounding that very "judge not..." proverb. Of course I do things that people may find despicable, they can feel free to "judge" me anyday. Isn't it funny that up in this Western hemisphere, whenever there is an argument on this homo issue, people are quick to quote that particular "proverb"?
I thank God you're not from the West. Return home, my sister.
