Defensive midfielder at Turkish football club Trabzonspor, Cameroon's Stéphane Mbia apparently released a press release yesterday denouncing the recent press allegations against his family.
The press insinuated that his family were rescued by his club officials from Cameroon after their village was attacked by Boko Haram. However, Mr Mbia's family are from the southern part of the country and not the north were the Boko Haram attacks have been taking place.
Online 237 did not waste any time to comment and question on the press coverage after it appeared online questioning Mr Mbia's origins.
