DC'S TOP 50: NOMINATIONS STARTS NOW!

Last year December, the Dulce Camer blog launched its top 50 talents, a list of change agents who we believed were crafting a newer and a more vibrant Cameroon.

This year we are at it again and we are flipping the script yet again by bringing you a list of categories and asking you to nominate an individual for your chosen category. All we require is for you to tell us what this person is doing to deserve a nomination.

 So here are the categories:
  • Fashion & Beauty
  • Arts & Entertainment (includes music, literature, visual arts, filmmaking, entertainment etc)
  • Media
  • Sports
  • Social Activism & Politics
  • Business
  • Science & Technology
  • Academia
  • Professionals
  • Innovation & Leadership
The period for nominations runs from now till Friday December 17th at 8pm UK time.
The list will be on the blog on Friday 31st December before midnight.
You can leave your nominations as a comment below or you can also email your nominations to dulce.camer@gmail.com.
Don't forget to include the reason why your chosen person is getting a nomination.
Get recommending!
If you didn't get to see last year's nominees, go here.

It will be so sweet on December 31st!

ADIEU MR JEMANN...

Yesterday was a very sad day within the Cameroon and African fashion industries.

One of the founding fathers of Cameroon fashion and an avid participant within the African fashion scene André Jemann, passed away yesterday morning.

The cause of his death is not yet known.

Our condolences goes to all the Jemann family and all those who loved and supported his work.

As well as designing, in 1994 Jemann also founded the reputable Jemann Insitute of Fashion based in Douala, Cameroon. He is credited with tutoring some of Cameroon's  new wave designers.

Thank you Mr Jemann for your contribution to our fashion industry.
You will surely be missed.
May your soul Rest In Perfect Peace.
