Sidney Tum was born on the 24 December 1980 in Nkongsamba to parents originally from the North West Province of Cameroon. He is the last child of a family of seven brothers and sisters.Last year, he won the very first Africa Star competition which took place in Libreville, Gabon. The show was similar to the Pop Idol shows we see in the UK and USA. His prize was a recording deal with Sony Classic & Jazz label.
