As musically August continues
with the flood of new music and videos, here we are again! This time we have ‘I
Cut U Café’ by Steveslil, an up-tempo Afro-pop opus with a makossa bass line,
drum and guitar fusion perfectly tingling in the ear with the sweet soft vocals of
the artist. This sultry R&B/pop delivery gets you in a shindig mood every
time.
Steveslil is said to have gotten
his inspiration from listening to makossa music he fuses with excerpts of 90’s
5 piece group Rrumtah’s most famous hit ‘’Bambambe’’ which he says immortalises
his childhood. The song was produced by Slimbeatz of Best Music Inc.
The colloquial expression “I cut you café” is used to show respect or commend someone for an attribute or
achievement. In the track, it is a mimic of military salutation which is equally fused in its dance moves.
Without further ado, here below is the track...enjoy!
