American football defensive tackle for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League (NFL), Ndamukong Suh recently organised his Camp Suh Day this month.
The event was a combination of a sports day as well as an opportunity to pass on life's vital skills. Ndamukong was surrounded by about 250 children with a small army of coaches ready to pass on the fundamentals.
Ndamukong reiterated the aim of the camp day by stating “Everybody obviously knows we want to teach them football and little nuances they can learn growing up but the biggest thing is the life skills, understanding that the
biggest part of this is learning how to be a young woman or a young man
and the dedication and hard work and competing."
He also gave out scholarships to about 25% of the campers.
